Is Xapo Bank a paid service?

Xapo Bank operates on a premium, subscription-based model.

Your annual membership fee is automatically deducted in full when your account balance is at least USD 1,000 (or the equivalent in Bitcoin). If your balance is below this amount, your Xapo Bank account will be temporarily restricted until sufficient funds are added.

The fee can be deducted in US dollars or Bitcoin, converted at the exchange rate at the time of billing. Please note that we cannot combine currencies for this payment; you will need to hold the full amount in either US dollars or Bitcoin.
