Why can my account be put under temporary buying restriction?

You can buy and sell securities as long as your Xapo Bank investment account is active and you don't violate any rules specified in Xapo Bank's Wealth Terms and Conditions.

However, in some cases, for example, when your passport expires, or there is some other problem with your account, your account can be temporarily put into SELL-only mode.

During that time, you will only be able to sell your assets but not buy.
