What happens to a Xapo Bank account after the account holder’s death?

In the event of the account holder's death, we will request the following:

• A death certificate in the name of the deceased

• An official, valid, and enforceable instrument in the form of a Last Will and Testament or other Probate documents

• Transfer instructions signed by the beneficiary, authority, or entity legally representing the rights of the deceased and their estate

• Government-issued photo identification of the beneficiary
