In 2021, we expanded our services, founding Xapo Bank. Building on our security foundations, we wanted to enable our members to more easily access and grow their wealth. Executive Chairman and Founder

Wences is a technology entrepreneur with global business experience specialising in technology and financial ventures. At the age of 19, he founded Argentina's first internet service provider, Internet Argentina, and then went on to found Wanako Games, http://Patagon.com , Lemon Wallet, and Banco Lemon. He sits on the boards of PayPal, Diem, and Endeavor, and has an MBA from Harvard University.

Seamus Rocca

Director & CEO

Seamus is an experienced leader of international and complex organisations. Prior to joining Xapo Bank in 2017, his roles included Group Head of Liquidity and Funding Risk at Standard Chartered Bank, Chief Financial Officer of Equity Trading at Macquarie Group, Finance VP of Latin America Emerging Markets at Credit Suisse, and Senior Audit Manager at Arthur Andersen. He has an MBA from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.

Joey Garcia

Director and Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer

Joey is considered one of the pioneers of regulation in the virtual currency and distributed ledger technology space. His previous roles include Consultant and Partner at ISOLAS LLP, Consultant at the United Nations, Non-Executive Director at IOV Labs, Advisor at Fiduciary Management Limited, and Chairman of the Gibraltar Funds & Investments Association. He is a Founding Member of thinkBLOCKtank and has a PGDL and BVC degree in Law from BPP Law School, and a BA from the University of Bristol.

Micky is the founder of Ribbit Capital and has decades of experience building and investing in technology and financial services companies across four continents. He co-founded HeptagonGroup, http://Patagon.com (acquired by Banco Santander), Banco Lemo (acquired by Banco do Brasil), Bling Nation (acquired by LifeLock), and Banco Bracce. He sits on numerous boards, including the Bitcoin Foundation and MercadoLibre. He has a degree in economics from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello.

Independent Non-Executive Director

Tim’s extensive experience includes his roles as Vice Chairman of Fortress, and Chief Executive Officer and President of Wells Fargo & Company. During his 32 years at Wells Fargo, he held C-suite positions of COO, CFO, CAO, and Head of Wholesale Banking. He began his banking career at Continental Illinois Bank in Chicago. He sits on the boards of the Ross School of Business, The Irvine Company, and The California Institute of Technology. He has a BA and MBA from the University of Michigan.

Anju is a VC investor and former banking executive at Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank. Her board experience includes Gulf International Bank, Upgrade Inc., Curve Inc., PIF, and Stanford University's Distinguished Careers Institute. She is a member of the FinTech guest faculty at Stanford GSB and the WEF Fintech Steering Committee. She has received numerous global industry awards, is an alumna of IIT Delhi and IIM Bangalore, and is a Fulbright Fellow and Visiting Scholar at Stanford.
