What potential issues may be encountered while using Xapo metal card?

Due to its metal construct, there might be occasional issues with contactless payments and ATM usage.

• For successful contactless payments please position the back of the card, where the contactless symbol is located, close to the POS terminal. If for any other reason the contactless transaction cannot be finalized, we recommend you to complete your transaction using the chip and PIN method. To do this, simply insert your card into the point of sale (POS) terminal and follow the prompts to enter your PIN.

• Regarding ATM usage, we advise against using metal cards in ATMs that require the full insertion of the card into the reader. Given that metal cards are heavier than their plastic counterparts, some machines with full insertion might have difficulties when returning the card. To avoid any issues, it's best to use ATMs that only require partial card insertion, ensuring you can always see part of the card and remove it manually. As an alternative, we recommend using the Xapo PVC card, which you can request free of charge, as the optimal choice for ATMs to achieve more seamless transactions.
