How does auto-conversion work?

We at Xapo Bank want you to have a seamless experience.

Your debit card is directly linked to your US dollar balance. Whenever you use your debit card for a point-of-sale transaction at a merchant or an ATM withdrawal and your US dollar balance is not sufficient to cover the amount of the transaction, we can auto-convert the transaction amount to US dollars from your Bitcoin balance so that the transaction is completed.

You will receive a push notification if auto-conversion occurs, and will be able to see the details associated with the transaction reflected in your transaction history.

How to enable/disable auto-conversion?

The auto-conversion feature can be enabled or disabled on your card settings at any time for either your physical or virtual card by following the steps below:

Step 1 - Tap on Cards.

Step 2 - Toggle on/off Bitcoin use.
