Your Xapo Card transaction could be declined for a number of reasons

Why is my card transaction 'In Progress'?

Your Xapo Card transaction could be declined for a number of reasons:

  • Your card has not been activated yet
  • Your card is frozen
  • Your account has insufficient funds
  • Your card details (card number, CVV/CVC code, expiry date, PIN) have been entered incorrectly
  • Your contactless limit was exceeded and a chip & PIN transaction is required
  • The transaction type that you are attempting, or the merchant is not supported

You may want to check your settings in the Card section of the app, in case you have disabled certain features (e.g. remote payments).

We will notify you every time a transaction is made with your card, even if the payment is declined. Where possible, we will provide you with a specific reason and let you know how to rectify the issue.
