As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Xapo Bank, I have the privilege of connecting with talented individuals from all over the world and being a part of their journey to join a company that is on a mission to keep people’s life savings safe.

One of the unique aspects of my role is the opportunity to meet and interview candidates from different countries and cultures. The beauty of working in a remote-first company is that geography is no longer a barrier to finding the best talent. As a result, I have the opportunity to learn from individuals from diverse
backgrounds and gain insights into different cultures and ways of thinking. This exposure has not only helped me become a better Talent Acquisition Specialist, but also a more well-rounded and culturally-aware person.
During the interview process, I have the opportunity to understand each candidate’s motivations, goals, and experiences. This not only helps me determine if they would be a good fit for Xapo Bank, but also allows me to get a better understanding of their strengths and weaknesses. For example, I have had the pleasure of speaking with individuals who have extensive experience in the financial industry, while others come from completely different industries but bring unique skills and perspectives to the table. Each conversation is a learning opportunity for me, and I am always impressed by the depth of knowledge and passion that candidates bring to the table.
While virtual interviews are a crucial aspect of my role, I also understand the importance of face-to-face interactions. At Xapo Bank, we love building strong bonds and relationships, that’s why we have a global offsite where everyone is invited. This is an opportunity for us to come together as a team, build relationships, and better collaborate on our mission to keep people’s life savings safe.
In conclusion, life as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Xapo Bank is both challenging and rewarding.
